Cyrus Reynolds
Cyrus Reynolds is an American composer known for his unique orchestrations and emotive storytelling. His vivid approach to combining contemporary orchestration with modern electronica has led to collaborations with M83 (Fantasy), Bon Iver’s S. Carey, Novo Amor and Decca artists Lara Somogyi and Josin. He has composed original scores for Netflix (The River Runner) and Hulu (Dark Matter) as well as custom scores for branded films with Sony Alpha, Ford Motor Co. and Titleist.
His latest score for the Sir. Elton John produced the documentary series, Better Angels, The Gospel According to Tammy, written in collaboration with harpist Lara Somogyi and directed by Oscar Nominated Dana Adam Shapiro was invited to the Sundance Film Festival and will premiere there in 2024.
A classically trained composer, Cyrus holds a Masters from London's Royal Academy of Music. Often revelling in both an electronic and symphonic aesthetic, the heart of his sound is the orchestra, most recently working with the Philharmonia Orchestra and the London Contemporary Orchestra at Abbey Road for his recent solo album, Provenance.
In 2019, he was awarded the Royal Academy of Music’s honour of Associate (ARAM) for his contributions to the field.
