Charlotte Harding Signs to Faber Alt.

Here at Faber Alt. we are delighted to announce we have signed to our roster the award-winning composer, orchestrator and saxophonist, Charlotte Harding.

Charlotte Harding brings an innovative sound to Faber Alt., her music draws on an eclectic mix of classical and cross-genre influences and fuses bold rhythmic statements with evocative melodic lines and vivid textures.

Her works include the Ivors Composer Award-winning ‘Convo’ for massed ensemble (Royal Albert Hall) and the Ivors Composer Award-nominated ‘Them’ for contemporary dance company Balletboyz (Sadler’s Wells/Edinburgh Festival/Vaudeville Theatre, West End).

Charlotte has scored for various BBC nature films, she has also re-worked music by Kraftwerk, Barry White, and Suede’s Brett Anderson, and created realisations of works by electronic pioneer Pauline Oliveros for the concert ‘Minimalism Changed My Life: Tones, Drones, and Arpeggios’ (Queen Elizabeth Hall, London/Bridgewater Hall, Manchester).

Charlotte is currently working on her debut electro-classical EP ‘TRI’ for string ensemble, drum kit and electronic production.

“We are very pleased to welcome Charlotte to the Faber Alt. roster. She’s an extremely talented and versatile composer, with a fresh voice and broad skillset which includes her score writing, orchestrating, remixing & reworking, and ability to compose across multiple mediums. We are excited about the music that she’s currently working on, which fuses the contemporary neo-classical style with electronics, a perfect fit for Faber Alt! We look forward to all that she will bring to our catalogue.”
