George Boomsma releases new album 'The Promise Of Spring'

Today, singer-songwriter George Boomsma releases his brand new album The Promise Of Spring. 

The album is a moving reflection on grief for the loss of a family member. Comprising eight carefully crafted songs, this new album presents a big step up in terms of sound from previous releases, with George's pure voice and tumbling acoustic guitar now accompanied by a full band whose understated but sweeping production lifts the songs to new heights.

His songs, aided by his rich vocal and confident lyricism, weaves stories for the listener, whilst the influence of Nick Drake can be heard echoing in his gentle finger-picked guitar style. Traditional folk signatures and themes persist throughout George’s music but with the addition of some expansive, cinematic explorations and some creative, intricate structures.
