K.O.G Signs to Faber Alt.

We are delighted to announce that we have signed the multi-dimensional creative force Kweku Sackey aka K.O.G (Kweku of Ghana) to the Faber Alt. roster.

K.O.G combines exquisite writing skills with shamanistic live performance, fierce raps, perfectly on pitch singing across a massive vocal range and some absolutely wicked dance moves. Not to mention his skills as a percussionist, arranger, bandleader and art director.

Rightly celebrated for exhilarating live performances that can transform the energy of any audience, he is a true poet and storyteller, using a mix of English, Pidgin and Ga to paint sonic pictures that reach deep into the souls of everyone ready to listen.

Named as “Ghana’s finest” by Jools Holland, Kweku is deeply aware of his heritage and of his role as an ambassador both through space and time, negotiating culturally both between African and Western influences and between the traditional and the modern: always open to new innovations and ideas while firmly rooted in a deep lineage.

K.O.G is currently on tour with ONIPA. You can see a full list of dates and buy tickets for the shows here.

We are really excited to be working with Kweku and we look forward to seeing what new opportunities this collaboration brings.

“Fantastic privilege to be in the company of artists on Faber Alt, absolutely stoked to be part of such a professional set up and space providing opportunities for artists to realise their potential. Thank you for welcoming me into the team.”

“We are so pleased to sign Kweku to our Faber Alt. roster. The music he creates with Tom Excell in Onipa is joyful and life-affirming, well as being brilliantly original. We all need a bit of this Afro-futurist sound in our lives right now!”

Lucy Holliday, Head of A&R
