Matt Carmichael Signs to Faber Alt.

We’re pleased to announce the signing of Glasgow-based Saxophonist and Composer, Matt Carmichael to the Faber Alt. roster.

Matt grows from strength to strength with his powerfully emotive blend of melodic Jazz and Folk music. His live band have been playing together since their teens, forming a unique chemistry and sound with collective improvisation at the heart of each performance. He has performed throughout Europe at Bimhuis, Celtic Connections, Ronnie Scott’s, Love Supreme, and Womex, as well as being a guest soloist with the Grammy Award-winning WDR Big Band in Germany.

His third album, Dancing With Embers, is a collection of emotionally driven instrumental songs which will be released in early 2025.
