Oli Rockberger
Oli Rockberger is a songwriter, producer, keys man, vocalist and recording artist.
His performing/recording credits include Carly Simon, John Mayer, Chaka Khan, Steve Gadd, Becca Stevens, Steve Jordan, Louis Cole, Richard Spaven, Jules Buckley & The BBC Concert Orchestra as a featured artist (BBC Radio 2’s “Friday Night is Music Night: The Beatles Orchestrated” live from Abbey Road), and Laura Mvula, as a member of her touring band for keys/vox across her last few releases (Oli is a featured vocalist on Mvula’s acclaimed “Pink Noise”).
As a songwriter, collaborations include work with an eclectic range of artists in the space between alt/indie, soul and jazz, including: Jordan Rakei, Hiromi, Shaun Escoffery, Randy Brecker, China Moses, Gareth Malone (with whom Oli worked as Songwriting Consultant for BBC2’s “The Choir: Singing for Britain” during the COVID-19 pandemic), and with Gregory Porter/Troy Miller as a co-writer of lead single “Revival Song” from Porter’s ‘21 Grammy-nominated album ‘All Rise’.
He’s currently working on his 5th solo album, planned for release next year in co-production with acclaimed composer/producer Chris Hyson, and an educational book project exploring songwriting and creative collaboration.
Meanwhile, in his work as an educator, Oli is a Professor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and a regular contributor as a guest speaker, mentor, assessor and artist in residence at a number of leading institutions, including RNCM, Britten Pears Arts and Berklee Valencia.
