Corre Release ‘Rituals’

Bristol Based audio/visual duo Corre have released their second album, ‘Rituals’ via Akira Records.

Formed in 2017, the project was inspired by the possibility that two contrasting elements can coalesce and work effectively. This concept is reflected in the audio through a classical/electronic collision and in the visual pairing of natural, raw images with obscure overlays to inspire a creative response.

‘Rituals’ follows Corre’s 2017 debut album ‘Form’, the success of which led to the duo accumulating over 3m monthly listeners and over 13 million streams on Spotify. ‘Rituals’ shares a soundworld with similarly hypnotic, ephemeral and ambient producers, seeking inspiration from artists such as Nils Frahm, Bing & Ruth and Ólafur Arnalds.

Alongside the release of the record, Corre will also be releasing a short film - which the album soundtracks. It has already been selected in many independent film festivals including the Los Angeles Film Awards and European Cinematography Awards, as well as a screening at Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival in Vermont this August - the album soundtrack has also won 'Best Original Score' at the Global Music Awards and 'Best Soundtrack' at the Berlin Underground Film Festival.
